Unshaved Hair Transplant

Unshaven hair transplantation does not follow a very different procedure from shaved hair transplantation in terms of its method. Extractions are performed with the FUE technique, but grafts taken from the donor area do not need to be stored in shaved hair transplantation. In unshaven hair transplantation, the roots to be taken are taken from the designated areas with a width of 2-3 cm and the surrounding hair and the harvested areas are hidden.

The technique to be applied in the planting part should be decided according to where the spill occurs. Especially in hair transplantation for women, if there is a hair loss in the frontal areas, it will be more appropriate to perform the transplantation with the Sapphire technique in terms of directing the hair easily. If there is a messy sparseness, it is more appropriate to transplant with the DHI method in order not to damage the existing hair.

After the planting method is decided, the hair around the area to be planted is planted in the determined areas without cutting/shaving. It should also be reminded that shaved hair transplantation will always give more effective results than unshaven transplantation, as the specialist who performs the procedure will be more free and can see and design the area to be treated more clearly, both during the acquisition in the donor area and during the transplantation application phase.

Because unshaven transplantation does not deteriorate the comfort in our social life, the process is not as obvious as shaved transplantation when viewed from the outside; especially preferred by women. Patients who have undergone the procedure with the unshaven sowing method can survive the first ten days after the procedure (the healing/scabbing period of the planting area) regardless of their environment. This method can also be preferred by people who do not prefer the process to be obvious or who cannot spare time for hair transplantation due to their busy work life.
